Lincoln's phantom ghost train has been seen roaring down railroad tracks from Washington D.C. to Springfield, Illinois and everywhere in between. The haunting train whistle and white smoke are an eerie sight and sound by itself, but when it is a burial train it becomes downright frightening.

It comes as no surprise that Abraham Lincoln is still with us today in spirit when you consider that during his life he too believed strongly in the presence of ghosts and the supernatural. Paranormal activity touched Honest Abe during the evening of his election when the mild mannered President witnessed a Doppelganger visionary double of his face in a mirror from across the room on the evening of his election. The disturbing event shook Lincoln to his core. His knowledge of such occurrences foretold of his up and coming death.
Doppelgangers are not looked at favorably and are viewed as bad luck creatures due to the very nature of their supernatural existence. They are thought to be a precursor to one's own death. Their extreme power has been studied by many philosophers, historians, paranormal investigators, and writers like Edgar Allan Poe, who incorporated the strange phenomena into stories. His mini-story about "William Wilson", a protagonist of questionable morality is tormented by his doppelgänger most persistently when his morals fail him.
