Real Or Imaged....Our Guardian Angels
Believers of guardian angels feel strongly that these life protectors are always prepared to listen and follow through with God's Word. Their undying love for God moves them to protect and guard what is most precious to Him, us.
According to scripture found within the Old Testament, the guardian angel concept is clearly present and its development is well marked.
The career of a guardian angel is to protect and guide a particular living soul. The belief in guardian angels can be traced back to before the Middle Ages. The concept of these angels and their hierarchy was extensively developed in Christianity in the 5th century by the Syrian monk Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite.
A study on guardian angels conducted by the Baylor University Institute for Studies of Religion revealed that more than half of all Americans believe they have been touched by a guardian angel at some point in their lives. Out of 1,700 respondents to a similar study based on subject matter involving guardian angels, 55% agreed that they were protected from harm by a guardian angel.
Angels are mentioned in the Bible close to 300 times. Of these angels there are thought to be around 30 different types ranging from Principalities to Seraphim's, and Dominions to Cherubim's.

Never drive faster then your guardian angel can fly. According to Robert Graham, in his article "Angel Talk-Are You Listening", he suggests that we all have guardian angels that are willing to communicate with us, but that most of the time we are just too busy to listen. If we are attentive, he says, and are willing to remain open to this communication, we can receive subtle messages that can help us in our daily lives.
One of the most popular angels is Michael. He is the archangel whose name means "who is as God."
An old world tradition claims that each babe born comes with a guardian angel companion that remains with us through life and our guardian angel can influence our mind and suggest thoughts that are meant to protect us from danger. According to the encyclopedia, those people who have seen their guardian describe them as young, beautiful, commanding and majestic. They are often accompanied by a warm and comforting light with a mission to offer profound reverence to deflect the terror of the immediate situation so that a person can somewhat cope and come to terms of what is happening while feeling comfort and reassurance.
All religions have some type of tradition pertaining to spirit guides or guardian angels being assigned to individual human souls. Angels communicate with God, see him clearly and they have a complete understanding and knowledge of the person that is under their immediate care. Angels praise, worship, serve and report to God. The Bible never says that Heavenly Hosts or angels have wings; this is a preconceived notion made up by man, and when you consider that God travels by using his power, then why would he not give this same consideration to the angels that serve him.
